Privacy Policy

Overview

Pawmodoro (the "App") is developed by Sleeping Giant Marketing Services Private Limited ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the App — and the short version is: almost nothing, because almost nothing ever leaves your phone.

No account, ever

Pawmodoro doesn't ask you to sign up, sign in, or create a profile. There's no username, no password, no email address tied to your use of the App. You can use every feature without ever identifying yourself to us.

What Pawmodoro stores, and where

To work at all, the App keeps a small amount of information in local storage on your device only. This includes:

• The task name and duration for your current or most recent focus sessions
• Your daily pomodoro and break counts, and your streak
• Your session history, kept for up to 140 days, used to draw the calendar and weekly charts in the History screen
• Your chosen companion (Danny, Benny, or Teddy) and app settings — sounds, haptics, Focus Mode, metronome, and Do Not Disturb preferences
• Whether you've completed the first-run tour and onboarding

This data lives in your device's local app storage using a standard on-device storage mechanism. It is never bundled, exported, or synced to any server by the App.

What we actually receive

Nothing. Pawmodoro has no backend server. We do not operate any server that receives, stores, or processes information from your device. The App does not include analytics software, crash reporting services, or advertising software of any kind. No third party receives data from the App, because the App never sends any.

Permissions, and why we ask

On Android, Pawmodoro requests the following permissions. None of them are used to collect or transmit personal data — they exist to make the timer work reliably in the background.

• Notifications — to show your live countdown, pause/resume controls, and quick-start options from the lock screen or notification shade.
• Audio settings — to play the metronome tick and your companion's completion chime reliably, including while the app is backgrounded. Some Android audio libraries also declare a microphone-related permission as a side effect of enabling this playback behavior; Pawmodoro does not record or otherwise access your microphone, and no audio is ever captured.
• Foreground service — to keep an active session's countdown and metronome running accurately while you're in another app.
• Ignore battery optimizations — an optional exemption you can grant so Android doesn't pause your session early to save power.
• Notification policy access — used only if you turn on the optional "silence notifications" setting, which temporarily enables Do Not Disturb for the length of a focus session.
• Exact alarms — to end your session and trigger the completion chime at precisely the right moment.

Uninstalling the app

Pawmodoro is configured so that Android does not back up its data. When you uninstall the App, everything it stored — tasks, streaks, history, and settings — is permanently deleted from your device. We can't recover it for you, because we never had a copy to begin with.

Children's privacy

Because Pawmodoro collects no personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect information from children. If you're a parent or guardian and have a concern about a child's use of the App, contact us at the address below.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Since the App has no accounts, we have no way to notify you individually — check back here if you'd like to see the latest version.
